NaphCare Charitable Foundation Scholarship Awards Announcement

BIRMINGHAM, AL—the Board of Directors of the NaphCare Charitable Foundation are proud to announce its scholarship award winners for 2023. 36 exceptional students from 12 schools across Alabama, Mississippi, and Kentucky were selected to receive renewable scholarship awards in the amount of $5,000.00.

Since 2011, the Foundation has awarded and funded over four hundred scholarships exceeding $3M. Our continuing mission is to alleviate poverty by providing educational opportunities to hardworking and deserving students who demonstrate a genuine financial need and a potential to grow into future leaders within their communities and beyond.

Promoting public safety and employment by reducing poverty, untreated mental illness, bias and recidivism in the United States through education and research.

Clements High School (2023 recipient)

“Hello, my name is Yuritza Olayo, and I’m eighteen. I am from Athens, Alabama. I graduated from Clements High School on May 26, which was very exciting for me as a first-generation high school student! I am very grateful for your donation and generosity. This donation will benefit me in many ways. Still, my two main reasons are that I will not be a financial burden to my parents, and I can now comfortably afford to attend community college without working excessive hours. During awards day, they announced the scholarship winners, and I was one of them. I was truly surprised because I did not expect to be selected for any scholarships. After the shock set in and I realized I won, I was very emotional and happy.”
